island west waterfront, and sunset

A day wander this summer brought me here - a place I'd never been before; all I could tell was it's a deserted park along the waterfront of the Western District. I was as excited as a traveller who had entered a strange country... Notwithstanding the hazy sky and summer heat, I had enjoyed a precious wonderful time, watching ferries pass by, capturing the sun go down and the sky change colour...

"watercoloury waters and colours"

Just as I noticed that I hadn't been shooting much this summer (partly due to terribly busy work and partly due to becoming less and less excitable after shooting for more than two years without a break), I was granted a half day off in an August afternoon when a strong typhoon approached us. Totally unexpected was that the rainwater and colours of the dim streets had inspired me to shoot again on the way back home...

Didn't know exactly why (maybe I've seen some disappointed high ISO pics of the F50), the "watercoloury images" of the F30 high ISOs suddenly came to my mind. I bumped alot to unnecessarily high ISOs, and yes, the resulting images were watercoloury... but I enjoyed them tremendously. Wondering if you share what I feel.:-)

some urban details

when you look into your familiar surroundings really "intensely", sometimes pretty interesting details would just pop up...

an old iron gate

oil street graffiti

It's more than two years ago when I found this place, all by accident; I didn't even know the name of the place then. So fascinated was I that I took quite a number of pics that evening (with the F10):
However, haven't had the chance to visit the place again until a recent Friday afternoon when I had a meeting nearby. Almost all the old graffiti have been painted over, yet I found the new ones just as intriguing. Managed to take a few shots before it started to rain...
