schoolboy going home

it was a dark cool lonely evening. Despite being in a hurry to attend a meeting in Tokwawan, I still tried to see what I could get on the way... I was drawn to the texture and peeling paints of an old factory building wall, brightened up by some strong advertising spot lights...

... but I was only saddened in the end, by the scene of a schoolboy walking home all alone and disapppearing in the darkness...

It's that time of year Hugo with long long hours of darkness when Spring's beauty and hope still seems so far away....I get the same feelings as you in the Winter.

The sadness does not cahnge the stark beauty of the photo though....beautifully captured. Well done!

Such feelings are getting even stronger these days, especially when there're always tons of unfinished work waiting... But I should really be proud and feel blessed while I'm still being entrusted with important responsibilities... I keep reminding myself.:-)

May joy, peace and health fill each of the new days of you and your family!

Happy 2008 my friend!:-)
