reminiscing...

old streets, old shops, old buildings... are my memories inspiring me to photograph them or are the images of them bringing back the memories? I really don't know. But for sure, there're some yesterdays that I'd never forget...

'Photographers deal in things which are continually vanishing and when they have vanished there is no contrivance on earth which can make them come back again.' Henri Cartier Bresson
Every time I pass by this fringe central district, HCB's words will come to my mind and it's such a pleasure to find this traditional store (and this 6 storey corner building) staying so much alive; I couldn't really tell how long it'll take before this precious corner site is cleared, merged with adjoining site and redeveloped into another prominent high rise commercial building...

Hey Hugo,
Another beautiful and though-provoking set.

Love the tangle of television antennae on top of the 60's corner apartment block.

Here's a thought, do you have any old and new photo's that you could put up side by side to provide a before and after sequence.

As always, you comments make interesting reading, thanks!

Dear Crawford,

It's nice to see you dropping by. Thanks for all the wonderful thoughts and comments you've left!

Must let you know that I enjoy your music very very much - no undue sophisticated arrangement yet a great depth of feeling is being induced...

Wishing you and your band every success!

Hugo
