About Me
- Name: hugo poon
- Location: Hong Kong
I do not regard myself as a photographer, not even amateur; I'm just a guy who enjoys capturing all the memorable scenes that I encounter in my life, my everyday life, with whatever photo machine I've got. Perhaps, it's like a traveller hoping to record his memorable journey, but in my case, it's the journey of my life ...

Your photos are diverse, and mainly they are taken in the city. Don't you think that you might get in trouble with people, for example police or other easily-irritating people?
Keep up the shooting
See you!
Mike.
I want to know the answer to the above question too! How do you manage to take pictures of people discreetly? You must be very very fast I guess?
This photo sends me smiles! It's such a candid and funny shot. :-)
Can you share with me on how to take a good picture like yours? Anything that I should pay attention to?
Mike: I must be a lucky guy... the people in my city are either friendly or just too busy to care. Anyhow, as I have said a few times ago, not only would I stay as non-intrusive as possible, I'd simply stop photographing even when the slightest objection was expressed by the people.
Natnat's mom: glad you liked this candid.:-) I'm not self-deprecating but I really don't think I possess any special secret except some basics: first, shoot from the heart - do what you feel or should I say, only shoot when you've got a strong feeling. Second, always be prepared - capturing an interesting moment is always a matter of luck but can also be a matter of patience... Of course, I'm not saying photographic knowledge, compositional skills and processing techniques are unimportant, but these are things that can be learned to a certain extent, and the learning process will only be more enjoyable when one has the passion...
Cheers,
Hugo
Thanks for the advice. Will always remember what you said about "shoot from the heart"! :-)
