signage ...
being a city guy has not made me insensitive to all the signage and billboards; on the contrary, they have always fascinated me. Artificial? Yes. Commercial? Maybe... But I've always enjoyed watching them, especially in the frame of the everyday life...

j'aime bien la 1 complètement décalée et presque vulgaire et la 2 vraiment réussie à travers la vitre ( une grosse averse ?)
Hi Lasiate,
Thanks for dropping by and leaving your comments... just wish I could understand them better.:-) Regarding #2, I recall I was sitting at the front seat of a double-decker (public bus) when it suddenly rained... the image was so attractive to me - it's like a beautiful water colour painting.
I enjoy your blog much!
Cheers,
Hugo
I've always loved these billboard photos of your Hugo!
I agree that they are fascinating but it's your photography and the personal interpretation that you bring to them that I find so delightful.
I'm with Lasiate in that the second one is my favourite....a real joy to look at and an image nobody would ever tire of looking at.
"water colour"
Am....I like this style, but..
dont you feeling tired that carry a camera all day? Hugo ?
especially raning day.
Thank you my friends!!!
Ian: Thanks for your warm words of encouragement... BTW, your comments and a little conversation with Ian Smith on the FTF have got me wondering: Could it actually be my "sub-conscious" that had been telling me to do this - to make the overly commercial HK cityscape look a little less eyesore?:-) That's really possible but I must also add that when I shoot, I seldom think much (not to mention calculate). I rely very much on my basic instincts; maybe that's how I'm shooting from the heart...
Lion King: It's nice to hear from you. Trust everything is well with you.:-) Glad you like this. The rainy season has come; I should have more chance to practise this "water on pane" effect... "Tired?" Actually my day job (real estate management)requires me to carry a camera to every site / building I'm inspecting. Really glad that I've got myself some pretty powerful pocketable cameras.:-)
Have a great week!
Hugo
