it's an old pawn shop situtated in the heart of the Central. Not only is this 4-storey building remaining intact, the pawn shop business is being carried on in the same manner as in the past 70 years... I really don't know how much longer its life (the economic one in particular) can last; better take a few shots while I still could...

I keep coming back to these Hugo...the atmosphere is great and the processing into B&W is some of the best I've seen!
Oh Ian, I've missed your comment earlier... Thanks for the warm words!! I had a very strong urge to take these shots - not only are old structures and side lanes like this vanishing at an unbelievable rate, I have also hoped to record some "Central District people" of my time...
PS. I decided to switch to b&w after taking only one colour pic.:-)
